I really do love Denver and all of the Front Range! From the majestic mountains to the vibrant city, to all the amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of growing up around and meeting throughout my entire life here. It’s been one of my greatest pleasures to learn what others love about Colorado too.
My parents didn’t understand why I wanted to go to college. Apparently, that’s an atypical problem to have. They hadn’t gone, and I was the youngest of five sisters whom all did well without attending college. I, on the other hand, felt college was in my stars. I took a year to think about it, but still had my heart set on getting a college degree.
I went to the Metropolitan State University of Denver. The school itself was less traditional. There were no dorms, so there was less socializing. That might have been a good thing, to be honest. There were also a lot of very motivated students, which I think kept me motivated too. I was there to learn. But I loved learning and loved attending the college, so much so that it took me seven years to finish since I kept taking so many diverse courses.
While I was in college, I had my first child, which really made me focus on what I wanted to concentrate on. I decided to become a teacher, which required a minor in secondary education, and a major in the subject of specialty. History was always a subject of passion, therefore, I absorbed all the content and made it my focus. My absolute favorite was taking classes on the History of Colorado. My college professors would take the classes on walking tours so we could see where history took place. It made me fall in love with my city even more. The tours were mandatory, but I would have gone even if they weren’t.
I had my second child while I did my student teaching at Denver North High School. My husband’s family had a real estate company, and we began looking at getting involved. I got my license and turned my focus to real estate after realizing teaching full time was no longer a viable option. Helping people achieve their real estate goals turned out to be quite fulfilling, and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.
I’m a second-generation native of Denver. My family and I all have close ties to the state, the city, and the community. As a native, I know Denver as well as anyone, and the area I work in is full of historical significance. I always turn into a bit of a tour guide when showing clients houses. It’s all part of the fun! I’ve even been offered a position as a Docent for Historic Denver walking tours based on my knowledge and eagerness to share.
When I take clients on Market Education Day, I drive them around to different areas teaching them about the history of the neighborhood, architectural design, what makes a good versus a bad investment, and we learn what is important to the client. When working with buyers, I like to educate them on market expectations. Our market changes rapidly and I pride myself on continuously learning to stay ahead of the curve so I can teach my clients what to expect. There may be a few toads that we have to kiss along the way, but eventually, they’ll find the frog prince AKA the dream home.
I’d love to have the opportunity to take you and/or a friend on a neighborhood tour as well!
Being an agent is like riding a roller coaster. Luckily, I love roller coasters! I see myself as a community-minded educator with integrity. I also have a background in investments. While home is where the heart is, it’s also an investment. My clients’ investment is always top of mind, therefore I provide top notch services to get my clients top dollar. For every property I list to sell, at no extra cost to my sellers, I have the home professionally staged, cleaned, photographed, appraiser measured, and a robust marketing plan. Whatever my clients’ situation is, I'm excited to meet them and learn more about what their real estate goals are and how I can help them achieve those goals. I may come up against challenges but finding solutions to problems is one of the most gratifying parts of the job. I’m here as an advisor and consultant and can give my clients the guidance they need. I hope I have the opportunity to do that for you and anyone you might know!
With gratitude,
